On Sep 30, 2001, the Inkdrop Online English-Language International Newspapers website went live.
On Sep 30, 2026, the website was discontinued after a quarter century of operation.
It's been a labor of love, launched with 68 newspaper links in 2001 and ending with 2,049 newspaper links representing life in 243 countries or regions.
Over the years, many individuals contributed suggestions for new links to news sources and reported stale links. If you contributed to this website -- thank you -- no other online collection of international newspaper links maintained such a high percentage of active links amidst economic, political, and military changes.
Nowadays, web browsers can translate pages into English, at least from the more common languages. Modern tools make it easier than ever to keep on learning about our global community.
